Horton Plaza is a huge multi-story outdoor shopping mall in downtown San Diego. Located a short walk from Petco Park and the Gaslamp Quarters, the mall is always packed. Ann Taylor, Zales Jewelers, Nine West, EB Games, Cingular Wireless, Nordstorm, Samba Grill are some of the stores at the outdoor mall. Parking is free for 4 hours with validation at the movies or a restaurant.

Fashion Valley is located near Qualcomm Stadium off the 163 freeway and is one of the more popular and larger malls in San Diego. As with any malls near the holidays, Fashion Valley mall gets very crowded and can take a while to find a parking space on weekends near the holidays. This mall has the usual department stores and retailers along with a food court. Some retailers include: PF Chang's, California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), Tiffany, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Macy's.
